This Is the Mouth-Watering Pork Recipe That I Love

Ginger minced pork rice bowl

I found another recipe that not only my entire family likes, but one that is easy for me to make. Up there on the list of favorite go-to recipes is the one for chicken wings and now ground pork!

Below are some links to more details, including photos:

My Story

I often have extra fresh ingredients when I buy them pre-packaged from a supermarket. This time, I had an excess of ground pork that I needed to find a recipe for, so I searched for one that didn’t require additional shopping.

Inspiring Recipe

What I came across was Ginger Minced Pork Rice Bowl from Spice the Plate, a food blog.

First Try

Since all the required ingredients were available at home, I was able to jump straight to the preparations!

Ingredients to Use

I grabbed the same ingredients as listed on the recipe, except for the optional roasted sesame seeds. Since we hardly use sesame seeds at home, I didn’t want to buy some just for this occasion.

Ground pork, soy sauce, oil, rice cooking wine, white rice, sesame oil, ginger, scallion, and sugar

Steps to Prepare

For the five simple steps in the instructions, I followed them without modifying anything. Also, in Step 2, I cooked the pork and ginger for 3 minutes.

The pork had a tasty ginger flavor and nice texture. Also, the kids thought this dish was good, so what more could I ask for?

Second Try

When it came to cleaning the box grater that I had used to finely grate the ginger during the first try, it took extra time to remove the remaining shreds. As a result, I decided to try for medium shreds this time.

Ingredients to Use

For the ingredients, I kept them the same as the first try.

Steps to Prepare

For the process, aside from changing the thickness of the ginger shreds, I repeated the same steps as before.

Stainless container of grated ginger and off-white ramekin with seasoning
Grated ginger and seasoning

Time to Eat

Here’s a bowl of ginger minced pork over rice ready to go!

The pork had good flavor and was more tender than before. The family enjoyed it and my husband even commented that this would taste good with eggplants.

Lastly, the box grater was much easier to clean this time!

Because the family didn’t seem to get enough of this pork dish, I will do the following next time:
